Goals and Objectives
The alliance goal is to support the academic and career aspirations of California community college students. The alliance works toward this goal by supporting efforts to improve counseling programs and efforts, particularly the development of student education plans. To support the alliance's goal, members are addressing the following questions:
- Does the counseling modality (individual, small group, large group) make a difference for students in completing an education plan and in key measures of student progress, including credits earned, persistence (reenrollment), and course completion?
- What strategies are being employed at California's community colleges to maximize limited counseling resources in support of students' academic planning?
